A Quick Thought: We Need a Christian News Agency to Arise!

I just love what has happened in the 80s and 90s with Christian Music! It has just exploded! Excellent music with encouraging lyrics is sweeping through the earth! The song birds are pouring their hearts out to Jesus. Because He loves us ... we love Him back. (I John 4:19)

I am also really excited about Christian Movies and Video taking off!  Mel Gibson's passion rocked the world and it is opening the door to kick out movies about horror, lust and violence and bring in subjects of excitement, hope, passion and truth!

But won't it be great when a few hundred churches come together in unity and produce the first global Christian New Agency. I am calling it the "CNA." Wouldn't it be great to flip to a channel or surf to a web site that first listed what was going RIGHT in the world? What projects were being done by caring people in on nation for another nation? Wouldn't it be great to hear how one region was overcoming racism and fear? How one nations was giving specific amounts of food or money to another nation? This is completely possible! 

Wouldn't it be great to hear about the negative things that are happening in the earth from a 'clean' perspective? Our news is biased by politics, nationality and the need to see more newspapers or get more hits on the web site. They feast on the fact that human nature naturally focuses on negative issues. Therefore they make it more hopeless and grim just to sell more. As usual money is at the heart of it. 

Oh, the possibilities in front of a united Christian people. The power, the influence and joy we could bring to billions of people. We really need to think about it and then act.

There is an old adage that is true of America and Europe today:

"When good men and women do nothing, evil flourishes!"

We complain but we don't pray and take any focused actions. We need to learn to pray consistently and act out of what God reveals to us daily!
