Why Does it Seem Like it Took God so Long to Send Jesus?
"At just the right time God brought Jesus into the world...."
God set the stage for 2000 years in Jewish History just to explain the human condition and who and why Jesus had to come. The sacrificial system married sin to the bloody slaughter of animals, declaring to everyone that "This is what sin does - it destroys life." God showed the people the innocent Lamb time and time again that was sacrificed ! Why? So that when the REAL Lamb arrived to take away the sins of the world the Jewish people would know Who and What He was. The LAMB of God that would be slain to deliver the people from their sins.
God revealed time and time again that He was the REDEEMER! He revealed His character and ways to Israel so they could understand further revelations when Jesus showed up.
Without setting the stage for 2000 years the people would never have understood Jesus.
